We aim to ensure all our competitions are fair, transparent and compliant with applicable laws.

 

Terms & Conditions

All competition entrants must agree to the terms and conditions below, in addition to any terms that apply specifically to individual competitions.

 

We may collect, store and process personal data as part of running a competition. All personal data such as name, email address, telephone number and address is securely sent to our servers and securely stored by our email provider, MailChimp.

 

About our competitions

Competition winners are typically drawn at random and notified by email or direct message within seven days of the competition’s closing date.  

If the winner does not respond within 7 days, they forfeit their prize and Yeadon Town Hall reserves the right to select a different winner without further notice.

 

The above is subject to change without notice, as business hours and public holidays may impact timescales.

 

In the event that a prize is limited in availability, capacity or is time sensitive, Yeadon Town Hall may withdraw, change or substitute the prize without notice at any time.

 

Where prize entrants agree for their information to be stored, Yeadon Town Hall will send them regular email newsletters to inform of similar opportunities, competitions and offers.

 

Subscribers can stop receiving such information at any time by using the ‘unsubscribe’ link in the next email they receive.

 

General terms and conditions

• You agree that you are at least 18 years of age at the time of entering the competition and can provide official proof of age, on demand, when required.

• Where Yeadon Town Hall believes that false information has been given or that an entry has been manipulated or submitted by automated means, Yeadon Town Hall will dismiss or void such entries without notice, before or after selection of a winner.

• Yeadon Town Hall reserves the right to disqualify an entry or withdraw a prize without notice, particularly if it is believed the entrant has not adhered to the terms and conditions or has otherwise not acted in the spirit of the competition.

• All prizes are subject to availability, and competition mechanics are subject to change at any time.

• Yeadon Town Hall can not accept responsibility for entries which are lost or delayed due to a technical error.

• The laws and regulations of the United Kingdom apply.

• Only one entry is allowed per person, unless otherwise stated.

• Yeadon Town Hall’s decision is final in all cases of dispute or query.

• Any competition winner’s name will be available on request from Yeadon Town Hall by sending a stamped self addressed envelope to: Yeadon Town Hall, High Street, Yeadon, Leeds, LS197PP.

 

Redeeming a prize

• Entrants, and subsequent winners, take responsibility for any expenses incurred in entering or redeeming a prize, including but not limited to, travel expenses, accomodation or other costs not explicitly included in a prize.

• Prizes are usually collected from Yeadon Town Hall. This may require proof of eligibility, on demand, and you agree to provide the evidence necessary or risk forfeiting the prize.

• When a prize or element of a prize is provided by a third party, that third party may require permission to access to your personal information, for example your email address, to enable them to fulfil or redeem the prize. Where you do not grant such permission, you agree that your entry is automatically withdrawn and you forfeit the prize.

• We may share information provided during competition entry to a third party company if the competition is run in collaboration with them. In this case, all entrants will be made aware of this and required to accept this additional term.

 

Specific terms

• Where there’s a conflict between these terms and those specific to a competition, the competition-specific terms shall take precedence.
